Congratulations to Hannah and her Class of 2021 Pi Beta Phi - ΠΒΦ sisters on their upcoming graduation from Arizona State University ☀️
Persistent and smiling through the most difficult and strangest of years, these young woman made goals, stuck them out, and took care of each other along the way!
Time to celebrate!!!
Old Main and the iconic Normal School steps have an incredible mix of history and charm that makes it one of the best places to take senior photos on campus. It’s especially stunning in the fall when the light catches the brick and makes the whole area feel warm and inviting. These steps are a hot spot for ASU grads, especially in spring. By April or May, it’s packed with seniors waiting their turn for photos, so planning a fall OR end of February, March, or spring break session means avoiding those long waits. Trust me, it’s worth it.
For those of you planning your own ASU senior pictures, here are a couple of tips based on Baylee’s session. If you’re thinking of ASU’s Tempe campus, plan ahead! Fall is a great time because the crowds are smaller and the weather is much more forgiving. By the time spring rolls around, Old Main and Palm Walk get pretty packed with grads waiting for their turn at these iconic spots. If you want those classic shots without the stress, fall or spring break is the way to go.

I met this cool chick about four years ago right when I moved to Arizona my daughter joined her school and the Eagle Pride Band- Ana is vivacious and energetic- and always hilarious! A powerhouse of the brass section, Ana has marched in Drum Corps International with Phenom, The Macy’s Thanksgiving parade, and her soon-to-be high school alma mater Sandra Day O’Connor- one of the TOP marching bands in the state! Ana really rocked her session with awesome smiles and a too cool vibe- first stop thrifted fashion and The Grand coffee house on Central Ave!
Ana’s second location was the gorgeous Japanese Friendship Garden, a jewel in downtown Phoenix!
We ducked in and out of clouds and enjoyed being surround with the serenity of water and trees.
Ana is gorgeous along side the new cherry blossoms and pagodas- don’t worry - she knows :)

What a fun, fashion-filled afternoon! After getting pampered and made up with the wonderful Yolanda, natural beauty Hailee was ready for her Phoenix senior session! We hit the VW van front at Two Hippies Beach House and a few murals in the Scottsdale area, before heading to model more downtown and Roosevelt Row and the always stunning Desert Botanical Gardens! How amazing is Hailee am I right?? She is a volleyball athlete extraordinaire- and a seriously good model!

Senior Isabella has been voted “most likely to always have the most awesome Instagram page” by me- her cosplay and theatre photo feed is beyond amazing! So needless to say I was VERY excited to meet up with B for her official senior portrait session around downtown Phoenix! We started at her home theatre, while her theatre friends rehearsed in the background, capturing Bella in her natural element. Then off to the convention center area which holds many good memories for this Shadow Mountain drama buff from theatre classes and retreats to intense cons where she created and posed in an impressive amount of intricate and gorgeous cosplay costumes with friends. I love that she brought her Schitts Creek & Once Upon A Time ‘bound’ low key David and Emma Swan looks along with the best props- autographed playbills from her New York musical and play trip!

Fabulous epic senior session photoshoot with Carissa!! What a way to cap off a sorta, ho-hum pandemic era senior year. We packed a LOT in the afternoon from laundry mats, to bookstores, to ferris wheels and the always awesome Mill Ave in Tempe.
Carissa lights up on camera and made every shot effortless, great modeling! Such a fun-filled day, and incredible memories for this musician, thinker, and artistic young lady. She reminded me of Belle from Beauty and The Beast in Bookmans bookstore. Congrats on your upcoming graduation Carissa!!
