And that's all for the Class of 2018 folks! Dawson was a great session to end on- reminded me to PLAY at senior sessions! I am serious when I say that senior graduation photos should be FUN! Botanical Gardens with my favorite girl | Anjeanette Photography Seniors | Phoenix Desert Botanical Gardens

Its already a busy start to the 2018-19 school year! Before the schedule gets especially hectic I visited the Desert Botanical Gardens again with my favorite model for a mid week daughter- mama date and quick session!
Everyone in Phoenix should visit these amazing garden. Seriously y'all should fly in to visit them from whereever you are, they are that fantastic. Its simply one of my favorite places to shoot and visit in the state!

I love to mix natural and flash to get all the lights!!! I love natural light alone, I love strobe flash alone, but I REALLY love them together- I get the sky AND the natural tones! Its basically like Reese's "two great tastes that taste great together!"
Angela | Mt Juliet High School Senior Portraits | Anjeanette Illustration Seniors Photography

Our first location was a park &campground where Angela had some special memories! She actually was there to celebrate an elementary school field trip in the past as well as camping there before. It was a beautiful spot along the Old Hickory Lake in Mt Juliet, Tn with a sweet beach and gorgeous fall colour trees.
The only thing we did not find at the campground was a golden field- one of my favorite portrait locations for warm, glowy skin and bright, contrasty highlights. So we drove down the street a bit to a super glam spot- right behind a gas station! Some interesting details, haha, are just cropped out of frame. With a beauty like Angela however, all you see if her surrounded by soft buttery light.
