Redfin features 17 Phoenix Hidden Gems- which make great photo locations!
Ryan Castillo for Redfin Real Estate recently reached out to area businesses, including Anjeanette Photography, to hunt for hidden gems & unique activities in Phoenix Arizona. Honored to have been asked to participate- here are my replies and the Redfin article to help you choose a great place for your senior pictures!
“Rewind Vintage & Antique is an awesome Melrose Neighborhood store that has wonderful retro and mid-century decor, vinyl, as well as their own fledgling record label.
“They support and sign local artists and sponsor neighborhood music festivals. The shop is right in the middle of the most colorful hidden gem in Phoenix – a vibrant art district full of murals, street art, funky shops, coffee houses, and restaurants. While most Instagram influencers are told to head to Roosevelt Row for its artistic vibes – Melrose has all that and more,” raves Anjeanette Photography.”
Other suggestions I had were The Scott Resort, and ASU Grant Street Studios.
While the big resorts and large hotels get a lot of press, The Scott with its Boho gilded chic is not to be overlooked. Beautiful grounds and pools are nestled inside like a little oasis. One of my favorite places for portraits- with greenhouse glam and decor- it's like a mini Gatsby every time. Get a coconut rum and mint 'Helen & Maude' at the Canal Club- The Scott's chichi bar!
ASU Grant Street Studios
The Arizona State University art department enovated a former cotton factory to create a community for its graduate studio artists, galleries for them to showcase work among Phoenix artists, and workspaces for them to experiment and flourish. They also encouraged the area as a popular photo spot with exterior art and murals in an industrial hip setting.
